I don't have that modem, nor do I have a spare $80 to buy one, just for playing with it. not to mention you can only dmz one device on the 2701 thats way to much trouble when they could make the firmware that will allow the devices to keep there static ip and just turn of the firewall. i use my ps3 as a media streamer if it cant connect to my computer then how am i going to stream to it, i cant unless i un dmz the ps3 so in order to do what i do with my ps3 i have to dhcp the ps3 dmz it on the router play my games then when i want to stream from my computer to the ps3 i need to static ip my ps3 it will still be dmz but only for a few hours and then the router catches on and un dmz the ps3 so i have to dhcp my ps3 then re dmz it. when i dmz my router it connects straight to the net and theres no option to allow it to at least connect to another computer as well. there are many ports for this as well there has become so many port you must forward, that playstation actually states that you MUST dmz your router you cant just forward ports theres just to many port to forward and this was told to me by five different people when i called sony. also theres a wake on lan feature so that you can turn on and connect you your ps3 from any wear in the world with a internet connection and a psp and without dmzing the router you cant use this feature because the ps3 will just keep turning it self on because the router is telling it to even tho the psp is not telling it to. this is why the ps3 leaves its online gaming up to the game designer there for almost every game has its own set of ports.

I would just like to say that i still stand that for the ps3 this router is still junk. a simple firmware update would fix this but there isn't one theres one for other 2701 routers but not the at&t model so if someone can find me the new firmware i will take back this statement of it being junk why its junk, because if you want to set your router to dmz the ps3 it wont let your ps3 connect to other computers on your network and if you don't dmz your ps3's ip it will drop you from all online games. instead of just turning off the firewall it bypass it all together by connecting it to the internal modems ip bypassing all the other computers on my network. so i turn off the static ip on my ps3 and set it up to use dhcp, now dmz it in the router settings and guess what instead of leaving it connected to other devices like my computer it directly connects it to the internet/ modems ip and wont let it to communicate with any other computers on the network. When i go to dmz it, it say it can't and the ps3 has to be in dhcp mode, that it cant dmz a device that has a static ip address. i have set my ps3 up with a static ip address.
